 Many thanks to Jim Brennan for bringing his old photos from his working days in Lloret...here are the first of many. Some of the places Jim worked were Lord Nelson, Tempo's, Tramps & Istanbul.

Today old pics come from Jim Vale from the Istanbul club early 1970s.

I saw Harry Mahon (above) and had a quick chat with him just a couple of days ago as he was dashing around Lloret, he looks great, both he and Sandra are keeping well.

"Hi Jackie please find attached photos from Rob Butler. He was in Lloret de Mar circa 68 - 69.. He reluctantly wanted me to do this but i think quite a few people will like to see some of these old photos.  He has loads.  He worked out there for about 2 or 3 seasons working the bars and on the beaches giving out flyers for the night clubs which included Club Istanbul and TOPO'T'TOP and 007. This might bring back some memories for a few people"

Back to about 1969 -70 with these two black / white photos from Sue. Sue's ex husband Jim Vale is in the top photo (with his arms folded) Other than that I've no idea who the others are, can anyone else add any names. The bottom photo is outside the Istanbul Club which we have seen on many previous photos. The doorway is still there ( below the Esmeralda Hotel) but is now blocked and no longer used.  I often wonder whats behind the doors of the old pubs and clubs in Lloret that have been closed for years, I bet all the fixtures & fittings are still there in many of them...... What a spooky excursion that would be looking around them all !
