We havent had any photos from Mariano for a while as he has been on holiday but now he is back and has sent these pics for us. Mariano lives in the Aragon region where he says "It is like living in hell this August is 43º through the day and 30º at night and nobody can sleep"
I must say we havent had those sort of temperatures in Lloret this August but it must go down as one of the hottest on record!

ReplyDeleteTop photo Annette, Carolyn and i worked for her in Tossa when we worked for foto lloses, hated that journey to tossa really bad road at the time.
ReplyDelete2nd photo Sylvia and Pauline who i shared an apartment with over the Chic boutique on the main street in Lloret believe it was 1971 or 72 would love to know what happened to Sylvia,we met them when we went on holiday 1970 they told us all about working there etc so they were one of the reasons we returned the next year to work.
nice to see one of sandra, at the top x
ReplyDeleteThanks again Mariano for memories of the dear old Rosamar, although it did get a bit tiresome week after week guiding the coaches as Sue said the old road was not nice especially after a glass or so!!! Sorry to hear its soo HOT Mariano must admit it was the main reason we decided to re-locate from Spain.
ReplyDeleteHola anonymous,I think the photo was taken between the years 1920-30 and the castle was building(1940-45) after the spanish civil war. regards from Mariano
