I came back to lloret

1975 where i worked for foto lloses also airport transfers for intasun, (jan Kirby) i did each season until 1982.

I have attached some photos which i hope you will put on for me, im sure a lot of people will be recognised"

Just lately I seem to be getting new photos sent everyday, so I just want to thank everyone for still searching through their old snapshots and taking the time to send them through I really appreciate everyone one I'm sent.
If you have recently sent photos and you dont see them straight away please dont think I'm not going to use them. They are all here, and you will see them on the site sooner or later!!

Tobacco Prices

I've picked up the latest price list for cigs and tobacco and thought it may be of interest to those visiting Lloret for the reunion, it might help you to budget for your stay if you are taking cigs for yourself or friends at home. The tobacconist in Fenals lets you pay by card if you show your passport, I dont think all tobacconists allow this.

Here's a little bit about Ian, he says he worked everywhere in Lloret from 1974 - 1985, and describes his time here as "Best years of my life" His brother Andy was here 1974 -1982 , he worked for Ted for 8yrs.
Ian and his brother are together in the first photo, (Ian is the one on the left) taken in the Pink Panther 1974.

Then goes on to say...."first of all youvé done 1 helluva job with this site...i congratulate u and thank u...i have loads of foto's from all the years i worked in lloret"

i was just looking at the photo of sean, looked at the comments and saw that little max had posted about sean posing for raimon in the studio in the sky. i knew that raimon had died, but never had an inkling that sean was dead, what a shocker, i knew him in the 80's, such a nice man, would do anyhing for you
do you know any details of his death? how he died, his age, anything? any info. would be greatly appreciated.
I will ask cyril but i don't know when i'll be in touch, might be ages.

Snow in Lloret !!!!

As I'm still not back in Lloret until the 20th March I spoke to a couple friends there earlier today....and I just thought you would all like to know the latest weather forecast-----------IT'S SNOWING !!

If you click on the link for the WEBCAM in the left hand column you can see the beach is white over.

Another very clear webcam is on the Fenals Hotel Savoy site. This shows the road at the side of the hotel and also their garden.

Deleted Post

Sorry to all those who took the time to place their comments on the 'Plans for the Reunion' post, but after some of the comments turned nasty I thought the best thing was to remove the piece completely.

It seems that after Andy and Ricky tried to get a plan worked out, they cant please everyone. I should think that everyone who is attending must now know where and when to meet.

Thanks to all who placed comments on the deleted post. We even had the 1st comment from Aunty Jean who has sent in so many photos and hasnt even got her own computer to see them on the site unless she goes to the library or a friends house!

Its such a shame that comments such as that were lost because of the odd one or two who seem to want to spoil other peoples enjoyment...

Lloret de Mar Old Stuff News

I just thought you would all like to know that the blog has today just reached 200,000 hits since the day it started !

These figures are only for the blog and nothing to do with the message board that is a completely different site.

The first post was published on 19th June 2008, and there were just 38 viewers on that day, I even thought that was brilliant that so many found it on the first day. We now seem to get on average 500 hits per day.
