Here's a few more photos from Shuggy, and yes, Albie is there again in one or two of the photos.
Albie has just had a few days in Lloret with a few mates from Doncaster and as usual they all had a great time !

Aunty Jeans Photos.

Todays photo's are from Jeans albums, Jean has been coming to Lloret since 1958 and has had her photo taken with just about everyone she met!
Does anyone remember the Corner Cafe in the early 90s, it was at the bottom of the Barretina street run by Jim & Yvonne (above) They opened early in the morning so did quite a good trade serving breakfasts for the workers who had been working all night in the bars and clubs in town.
Jeans next photo from 1975 looks a very formal occasion, I'm not sure what was going on here or where it was.

The last one today pictured with Alan Hagger looks like its taken outside the fast food take away place near Rockerfellers, they also did money exchange and always gave the best rate in Lloret until they closed a couple of years ago.

Cost of Tobacco in Spain.

Once again sorry for the break in posting photos on the blog, nothing wrong with the computer this time but I've just had a week- end back home in Leeds to see family and arrived back in Lloret this afternoon...loaded down with shopping, so a well worth while trip!

Before I went I had chance to meet up with Tony, he'd brought over some photos from his days in Lloret. His first photo he said was the day after they had all had a good old fight, and three of them were sporting black eyes!

Who was the fight with? and I dont think you said who won!

Ok, sorry for the long break with the blog! My computer is now repaired (thanks to Christian!) with a new power supply box...or something like that. All your photos are still ok, so here's the first few ...

Sorry for not keeping upto the blog during the last few days...
but here's another photo which I've had to 'borrow' from Rickys site. I still haven't got my computer going, I'm waiting for a new part so still cant get to my photos. Good news though, Ive been told that all is not lost and everything can be transferred on to another easily :-)

A New Feature.

I have added a new search feature to the site which may help you to look through the pages. Its a small box in the left hand column under the heading 'Search This Blog'
Just type in whatever you are looking for whether its someones name or the name of the bar where you worked and all results will be displayed. The results will be from both the postings I have put in, and all comments which you have all placed. You can then click on the various links to bring up the original piece posted...hope that makes sense !

Costa Brava Cruise!

The top photo is from John McSwan, there he is at the front leading the passengers off. I dont know how much the trips cost when this photo was taken, but this years price is €15 for a return trip from Fenals to Tossa. Far toooo much!

The next photo is from Omelet, he is in the middle with the cowboy hat on...they are still selling those hats even today!
