 Thanks to Wilma for recently getting in touch after she found some more of Rish's old photos, she wasn't sure what to do with them so I met up with her this week for a coffee in Lloret so that she could give me them for the 'Old Stuff'....and just nice timing as we have a few which show Christmas celebrations in the Texas and Buzzbys with Rish, Stevie, Phil and Sally .

Buzzby's Calendar

I know this isnt so old, but I just thought it was worth another viewing!

This is the Buzzbys calendar which we all did the Christmas before Stevie died...and what a Christmas it was! We had planned that after this one we would do a calendar every year...sadly it didn't happen again.

I thought it had been lost ages ago but I've just come across it again after I had my PC repaired

Sorry but the quality of the slideshow isnt all that good, the printed version was much better!

 Look what I've got!

Stevie's sister Julie gave me Buzzbys guest book when she was last here in Lloret.

 It was started in 1990 and the customers could sign and give their opinions about the bar and staff, some I cant publish!! But over the next few days I'll scan and copy some of the best bits....here are the first few pages! Do any of you remember signing the book, if so let me know and I'll have a look for your name!

Thanks to Sue for finally sorting out some of her photos for the 'Old Stuff' - she's been promising to do it for ages!  She has photos dating back to about 1968, so lots more to come from Sue yet. the first ones feature Rish behind the bar with Sue's daughter Emma who used to work in Buzzbys.

Lloret´s farewell to Stevie!

 It was Lloret´s turn to say goodbye to Stevie last night, And what a night it was.

There were a few tears but also lots of laughs!

 Many of his friends had travelled from the UK to join Stevie's family for one last night in Buzzbys. The bar was opened at 6pm where we all gathered before walking down to Fenals beach where after a few words from Andrew his ashes were scattered. We then layed a dozen yellow roses on the same spot,  a huge round of applause from everyone there then followed! After a few minutes we all then made our way back to the bar and had a great night as you could only ever do in Buzzby's!

Buzzbys , The end of an era!

 Buzzbys doors will be open tonight for the last time.

Stevie´s family have put a notice on the door to welcome all his friends for a goodbye drink.

Here are just a few photos from Sue looking back to some of the good times and memories we all have of Buzzby's with Rish and Stevie.

Sad News

More news is now known about Stevies sudden and tragic death.

After speaking to Stevie's family Albie has just informed me that the cause of death was a scuba diving accident. 

Our thoughts are with his family, he will be greatly missed by all his friends and as everyone is saying "Lloret will never be the same"

Sad News

We have sad news today.

Stevie of Buzzbys has sadly passed away while on holiday in Vietnam as yet no further details are available. A very dear friend of everyone who knew him, he will leave a big gap in all our lives, condolences to Stevie's family at this sad time.

More from Sue.

One of the photos from Sue today goes back to 1971 which could be a  bit early for most readers out there to remember. The top one with Stevie and Rish in Buzzbys is far more recent...its even in colour!
