These are From 1984

This time we are only going back to 1984 with photos from Tony, who is on the left in the top photo. The photo was taken in the Highwayman, am I right saying it's Lloret's very own 'George Micheal' in the front of the photo ?

Tony's 2nd photo I believe was an end of season do, I could imagine some of which would carry on until the start of the next season!

Lloret Beach

Todays photos go back to the year 1984 - 85 - 89 with Tony's photos. With the first one showing the fairly packed beach in 1984. This summer Lloret beach has been packed with visitors to the town with hardly enough space to lay your beach towel if you arrive too late!
For some reason though the people who are here just now dont spend anything and all the local bars are having a really tough time. Where's all the old holidaymakers like yourselves who used to come to Lloret in the old days and spend money in the bars....they dont seem to exist anymore!

Tony's next picture with Derek was taken in 1989, and his last one is from the year 85' in the Highwayman.

Captains Arms

These two should get the comments rolling in !

In the first photo dated 21-8-72 (thanks to John McSwan) John himself is behind the bar in the Captains Arms, and on the left at the front is Tommy...now in the Navy bar in Fenals.

The second photo (is this the Highwayman?) belongs to Rod still a regular visitor to Lloret. He is at the very back of the photo, also in the picture is Alan Hagger (Oh no, not him again !) next to Alan is Sally.
I did have a couple more names wrote down somewhere, but I don't know where...was it Paul on the left ?
