Photos from Aunty Jean

Two photos from Aunty Jean today both taken at the bus station so I'm guessing that Jean and possibly a few others were heading home on Eurolines that day. Just look at all that luggage in the 2nd picture (Jean with Frank & Mary) you could never bring all that by air! In the 1st photo I recognise Russ Weston who has sent in many photos for the blog.

I'm still needing more photos so if there are any more out there I'd be grateful if you could send them.....thanks!

Photos from Mike Sparkes

Thanks to Mike for sending these photos for the blog,
Here are the details from the email he sent with them.

1) Waiting for the clipper home
2) End of season meal in the Calamic(?)
3) Cutty Sark
"I've also added this extra one which is of little general interest but you mentioned somewhere you would like to see evidence of the way the town was back then. It shows the view from our apartment one year. It was up above the top road behind the Britannia and a disco on the corner whose name escapes me.The old farmer toiled long hours in the sun...no mechanical aids for him- hope he sold out for a massive profit"

Aunty Jeans Photos.

Just to let all regular readers of the blog know that 'our favorite aunty' has just been looking at all the photos here on the site. Just a few minutes ago a comment went on one of her photos taken in Gerry's Bar. Although she doesnt have a computer she still likes to check up on what we are all doing! You can read Jeans comment HERE.

So here are a few more photos from Jean's album.

1st one (1997) is taken in the Bodega next to the Seven Seas which Debbie ran for a while, Jean is next to Debbie, then 'Gas meter' and then Graham.
2nd photo (1979) looks like someone was leaving again from the bus station...could have been Jean.

This last one I dont have any info for........??

Laurel & Hardy's

Two more from (Auntie) Jeans photo albums the first is 1981 & the 2nd 1987. In the top photo outside Laurel & Hardy's, she is on the front row with the Union Jack bag.
The others in the picture....... I'm sure someone can name a few ??

Then another photo from the bus-station, looks like she was travelling back home with Bob (103!) that year.
What a laugh that must have been, for the other passengers that is!

Bob was one of the best, always had a smile on his face.

The Badge Sellers!

Another photo from Jean, there she is at the back in blue. Its taken at the bus station, so my guess is that Jean was travelling back home that day. How many more places other than Lloret where that would happen?
Whenever you arrived or went back home there was always some one there to meet you!
Also in the photo is Big Al at the front, from left to right is Rona, Jean and then two of Maggie & Colins badge sellers Debbie & Mary.

A not so old beach scene, not looking much different today.

Were you at the Bus Station?

Thanks to Ann (an ex worker at the Tea Shop) for this photo from the bus station.
The names she gave me are...Paul is the blond haired one on the right. Next to him, the one with the beard is Eddy. Mick in the black T-shirt on the back row, he is now working in Germany but has a home here in Lloret.
On the back row behind the person with the yellow hat, is Billy Frazer.
Middle row - On the left with the beard is Billy, Scotty with the open shirt and then Bernie next to him.

Below is a postcard view of Fenals from the 50s.
