Back to the 90s with Petra.

Today we have more photos from Petra and her memories of the 90s. My memories (today) are from the nineties In the Moeff GaGa.

Elección of “Miss Legs” in Moef ga-ga and some fun in the streets.

Because today is “the day of the cat” enclosed Al Stewarts famous song “Year of the cat”. This was our managers favourite song, and the DJ played it every night before closing Moef ga-ga.

 Thanks again to Petra for sending more photos for the page along with a piece that she wrote about Lloret for a German paper....sorry but it’s obviously written in German so is more suitable for our German friends! 🤗

A copy of today’s email from Petra.... 

Guess I wrote in German, Spanish and Dutch because AMIGOS was a German, Spanish and Dutch tourist newspaper. They begged me to write about the place.

And I got free tickets for beach parties and amusement parks. One had this giant slides. That’s what I remember.

Today I have pages of a TUI (Twen Tours) catalogue for you. Concerning holidays in Lloret de Mar (as well in German language). Besides a picture of the Moef ga-ga entrance.

Last year I got a job offer for Fanals. Something with youth travel. Guess it even was Venta de Goya. Imagine … after more than 35 years. But I didn’t feel to work “on the spot” for a couple of month during summer. During wintertime it would be a bad paid (parttime) office-job.

Thanks to Paul who sent a great selection of photos from 1982-83, he is the one pictured outside the Moef GaGa above. Paul hadn't heard about the 'Old Stuff' site until he met Billy Hayes in a Chinese restaurant in Tenerife and he told him all about it...its a small world!

A few more pics from Mariano

Thanks to Mariano for sending more photos for the blog - this time we have a mixture of old and new!

He has put together a set of collages from what must be a massive collection of his photos from the years he was working for Foto Llosses. In the above photo of the bars we can see how the bars look today, with the exception of the White Horse which has sadly remained closed all year.

I dont think this is one of Mariano's !!

"..more photos of Lloret, (1970) the first one, my friend Mario (of Zaragoza) with the Belgian owners of the Moef Ga-Ga disco,the second one,in the Corner Inn, the boy with the guitar, he was playing in Adriano`s bar and at end of the season,in the Corner Inn, he was swedish, I don´t remember his name."

These photos were sent by Norman in Australia, you may remember I put some of his photos on the blog a few days ago along with pages from the Lloret Scene magazine which he also sent, below you can see another 2 pages. Does anyone have anything similar where we can see the old prices and adverts from the 'old days'?
Norman thinks that the 2 girls in the photo below worked in Isadoras Tavern, next to the Moef Ga Ga but doesnt know their names can anyone help, also the first photo does anyone recogise anyone there?

Thanks to Sue for  bringing more of her photos for the site when she recently came on holiday with Carolyn and (aunty) Jean ...nice to them all again!. I believe both of todays pics are from the year 1971, I recognise a very young looking  Gerry and Colin in the 1st,  is that Sue in the middle of them with dark hair??  and Malachi is in the middle of the 2nd photo.
