Lloret Beach

Todays photos go back to the year 1984 - 85 - 89 with Tony's photos. With the first one showing the fairly packed beach in 1984. This summer Lloret beach has been packed with visitors to the town with hardly enough space to lay your beach towel if you arrive too late!
For some reason though the people who are here just now dont spend anything and all the local bars are having a really tough time. Where's all the old holidaymakers like yourselves who used to come to Lloret in the old days and spend money in the bars....they dont seem to exist anymore!

Tony's next picture with Derek was taken in 1989, and his last one is from the year 85' in the Highwayman.

As you can see it was taken in the old Rabbies, and the 2nd one showing lots of smiling faces outside the Londoner!

Michelle's Album

Thanks to Michelle for these photos she recently sent in for the blog, I wonder how she is coping in Valencia with this hot spell we are now having in Spain. Temperatures in Lloret have been higher than ever just lately. It was 31º down in Lloret at 10am yesterday morning, I then heard that a couple of hours later it was 37º in Fenals and in Tordera it was 42º ... with no sign of it cooling down yet!
