Thanks to Maureen for sorting out some of her photos from the 70s when she was working in Lloret. She was recently here for a few days in the sun with friends from work, if I remember rightly she said it was her first visit for more than 28 yrs! Maureen just couldn't believe how the old place had changed in that time. She will be back here for the reunion to meet up with everyone.

Reel History of Britain

The BBC2 programme 'Reel History of Britain' about  the early days of tourism abroad - which I was contacted a while ago was shown on TV yesterday, I didn't get chance to watch then but I managed to get it on BBC iPlayer today. Two people I put the BBC in contact with were used for the programme, Sue was one who we see briefly chatting to Melvyn Bragg and another was Stephen the BA airline pilot who they did talk to at length. Its only a matter of a few days before they'll both be back with 'Auntie Jean' for the reunion.

I had an email from Jean last night, it seems she has now got a computer and her daughter Karen is showing her how to use it!
