Photos from Dee

Thanks to Dee for the photo and propaganda items from from the old Hotel Niza which is now the 'Esmeralda Hotel' just round the corner from Gerrys bar and hasnt changed a bit! Also a leaflet from a place called 'Top Ten' a place I've not heard of before, does anyone else remember it?
Dee's email......
"I’ve been following Lloret Old Stuff for some time now and it brings back great memories. I first came to Lloret in 1968 and worked for a short time in the Istanbul when it first opened. I then came back in 1974 and 1975 when I worked in the Sundoor, Moby Dick and a Viajes up near the market and also for a travel co. called Cathedral. I then came back again in 1980, 1981 & 1982 when I was travelling down with the coaches from England and staying with clients for their weeks holiday. I made loads of friends including Roger & John and Reg & Jan Kirby and look back on those times with very fond memories. Recently I was tidying my loft space and came across a lot of propaganda from the 60’s and many photos from all the times I was there. There are so many and I don’t want to swamp you but thought I could scan and send just a few at a time if you would like them. I’m attaching a couple of samples now. A flier from the hotel Niza where the Istanbul was located ( very modern for its time!) and another from the Top Ten Disco which some may remember. There’s also a photo of me and my friend Diane with the monkey who was always around in the 70s – you will probably recognise the person behind!"

In the photo above are - Linda on the left and her sister Wilma in the middle at the front. At the back are Peter, June and Linda.

Info please regarding Roy Jennings...

Ross has asked me to place a reminder on the 'Old Stuff' about his uncle Roy Jennings who died in Lloret back in 1986. If anyone can add even the smallest amount of information to help Ross I'd be very grateful if you would please let me know and I will pass on Ross's email address so you can contact him personally.....many thanks in advance!

I've picked out a few snippets of information and photos from the emails which Ross has sent me hoping it may jog someones memory....
"My uncle used to live and work in Lloret in the mid to late 70's through to the mid 80's.
Sadly he died in Lloret in 1986 and I'm trying to find people that may of known him well and may have information about his life and death"

"My uncles name was Roy Jennings, he was from Wellington in Somerset, England. I don't know a lot about his life in Lloret, I think he started out as a rep for 'Enterprise' holidays & by the end he co ran his own company called 'Europa S.A.' handling apartments to rent & buy"

Biddy has sent in a few more photos from his time in Lloret, the first is taken in the unmistakable Gerry's garden (pre season 1976)...Gerry is in the photo 3rd in from the left at the back, and it looks like 'Good onyer Bob' front row 2nd from the right, any more names?
