A search on the internet for Tony & Tina's bar has lead me to you. My family and I used to visit Lloret De Mar every Glasgow Fair since I was about 4 years old (I am now 33). Our regular haunt of an evening was Tony and Tina's bar. The last time we were in Lloret was around 4 years ago and unfortunately the bar was gone and was replaced by a pizzeria. I just wondered if you could shed some light on whether Tony and Tina have opened a bar elsewhere or where they are now?
Any information would be appreciated. Lloret holds some very happy memories for myself and my family (some of whom are no longer with us) and it would be lovely to hear how Tony and Tina are.

Thanks for your email. I don't know Tina & Tony personally, but I do know of them.
I did hear a while ago that Tony is now suffering from Alzheimer's and is in a care home in Tossa de Mar.
Tina is OK I believe, and still in Lloret, but I will try find out more details for you.
If you dont mind would you allow me to put your email in the Lloret blog as a comment?
That way some body may be able to answer your question before hand.
Which blog did you come across, can you remember?

Thanks so much for responding. I'm really sad to hear about Tony. As I said in my previous email we went every year for a fortnight to Lloret and every night we would go to Tony's bar. The whole family enjoyed it and Tony and Tina were great with us kids. We also met their son (Tony) and their daughter (Christina - I think that was her name) and got on really well with them too.
I basically did a google search of Tony & Tina's Bar in Lloret De Mar and it came up with your site (Lloret De Mar Old Stuff Blogspot.com). There was a load of photos with other bars on it (Scotch Corner, Rabbies, Londoner) and in one of the photos was Tony. It would be great if we could find out any more information so I'd really appreciate you posting my email as a comment to see what else it turned up.

the 2 very 80's looking girls and called Tina (right) and Caroline behind. They worked in various Bars all around town. Tina had an accident in around 83 and used to sit on beach with big dressing on her back and iodine all over her.
