John, isn't it strange how things come around, you are right it is in La Cala and I think it might have been 77 but you could be right, could be 78.
Max, Alan Toland was here in thorne a couple of weeks ago, he stayed with Albie overnight and flew out from doncaster next day. The top pic also has his late wife, June, our Diane Bev Evans and of course little Murphy (Terry).
Bottom picture is in Sportsman, our Ronnie, Albie, and Yes Tam the Bsm. I think the couple is some footballer or other and his wife but I can't remember his name, this it was Allie something or other, will have to ask Albie

I remember Alan and June from the 70's when I worked in the Captains Cabin and Robin Hood. They were good friends of Harry and Sandra Mahon. Harry from Captains Cabin, Western Saloon and Sandra from Foto Lloses. What happened to June, I just read Jill's comment that she is dead. Anyone know how and when?

June died approximately 4/5 years ago now of Cancer unfortunately. She put up a brave fight but lost it in the end, she was ill for quite some time. You are right, Sandra and Harry were good friends of alan and june as they have been to a lot of people over the years. Sandra is a close friend of mine too and I always see when I go over. Do I know you Anonymous? Alan is now a grandad as Simon and his girlfriend have had a little girl and when I saw him a couple of weeks ago he was as pleased as punch. I saw June not long before she died and although she was very poorly, she still managed to entertain the girls with a smile.

Hi Jill, I worked in Lloret from 1973-1979. In 73,74 and 75 I worked in the Captains Cabin and Robin Hood with Jimmy Mac from Swansea who I later married. In 1977 we ran the Cutty Sark and in 78 and 79 we were managers of the Robin Hood. For the first three years we worked with Harry in Fenals and saw a lot of Sandra and their dog Doogle. I would love to get in contact with them again as I hope to go back to Lloret sometime this year for a visit. I havent been back since 1986 so I guess it will have changed quite a lot. My name by the way was Christine Ashworth from Manchester. We didnt get to know a lot of the workers in Lloret cos we were based in Fenals. I do remember someone called Jill, I think she was from Doncaster and worked for Foto Lloses with Sandra. Thanks for the info about June, it was really sad to hear she is no longer with us. Am I right in remebering her brother was in a pop group? Does anyone know of Freddie Puigmarti who owned the Captains Arms, Captains Cabin, Robin Hood and Cutty Sark??

Christine you must have left the Robin Hood shortly before I started there I think it was 1975, and I done a few summers after that. Harry was in charge then, he was a good manager I had a lot of respect for him, even though my first night as a waiter I had to put on a dress and stuff two balloons down my front as it was TOPSY TURVY PARTY NIGHT ! Later Knocker was manager for a few years. I think I missed one summer and when I returned The Robin Hood was being run as a chicken cellar but not very busy .
I saw Freddie Puigmarti and he asked If me and a couple of lads I knew would go back and work with the then manager Juan (another great bloke) to turn it back into a nuthouse.. sorry I mean English Pub it worked well and we had a great time. I remember my morning job was to fill the spirit bottles out the back with graffa (straining out the flies first!).
Fond memnories..

Hi John, we worked with Harry in 73, 74 and 75. I do remember you and Knocker and a couple of the other boys. We stayed home in Swansea in 76 and in 77 came back to manage the Cutty Sark. In 78 and 79 we managed the Robin Hood. I came back to Lloret in 86 for a holiday and the first person I saw in Lloret was Freddie on his moped. I also contacted Harry and went back to his place for a meal with his wife Sandra. Do you remember Billy Beads, he worked with us as well and a guy called Henry who married a spanish chambermaid from the Oasis Park.
