The year was 1977, with a very, very young looking Billy Fraser in the first photo & of course Albie is in the second photo,,,but I've got the ball, no mean feat when Albie was in the team. John Lee with the strips (ha) in the Duke and Bonny Lad with the Trophy. Other people there,,,Wee Mo,Kipper Foxy & Frankie Jolly.
HI, Sorry for adding my comment, but im trying to do a bit of digging up my past... Since I was born in 1972, my Dad (BOB)used to be the singer, pianist at Paddys Bar, later for years after then used to be the manager. He worked for Roger ( both yorkshire lads) Roger later known as Raja, he owned Tonchen, Bier Stube, Bier Keller etc.. My memory of Lloret is with my 2 brothers and sister, spending every year being sent off to stay with our Dad for 6 weeks of the year.. Ive been to Lloret near on 30 times now. Bob is over 70 now and im planning a little trip for him, to take him back to the old places and see the old people who might have been there between 1970 and 1985, he knew alot of people, and probably managed a lot of people in Paddys, then later called BIER HAUS. My name.. Paddy. call in coincidental, but yep.. thats me.
Does anyone remember Paddy who's son placed the above comment? It would be nice if any of you could point him in the right direction to the people he knew when he worked here so he could take him and meet some of his old friends.
I use to go in Paddy in 75 and I have some photos somewhere, will try and find them out. The group that were on were called. if memory serves me well, Bitter Sweet, they were 4 lads, one of them Mick once turned up at my Mum and Dad's years later when they were playing in our area back home. I will try and dig them out and post them on the site (or at least send them to Jacky). I think our Diane may have some too. In 75 (I was 17) and we practically lived in Paddys Bar Jill
Well done Jill I knew you would know something. When you get the photos posted I will have a look, never know it may jog the old memory. Maybe Pat will know him. In fact,,,where is Murphy????
