As a matter of interest does anybody know what year Picassos actually opened Coz Arthur and Wendy seem to have been in Lloret for ever I beleive its closed now is the building empty or has somebody else taken over
The building is still there Chris, I just thought that maybe Wendy and Arthur were living in there by themselves. I'll have to get over there one of these days and have a look.
The building is still there just as it was, but Arthur and Wendy moved out years ago - I believe at the same time they closed it. They were living in an apartment near the post office, and I assume they are still there.
Picasso was run by a spanish lady called maria i think back in the 70's, lived in there for a while on a couple of occasions
Does anyone know the last name of Arthur and Wendy's surname as I worked there from 1977-1979 and looking for 3 friends I worked with there paco. Jose and Juanito and help would be great
Had my first ever foreign holiday in lloret de mar in 1985,worked the year out by googling when the song "don't you forget about me" by simple minds was released as this song was forever being played all holiday. Me and a mate just booked flights with nowhere to stay,but after a pint or 2 in picasso's which had no rooms available we sorted a room just round the corner, I remember a big fella behind the bar with a wonky eye ? And a pool competition which I came second. Met some good lads from near Manchester maybe wilmslow,also remember the olde English tea shop were we ate regularly as it was cheap.great times.
