Linda's Photo's

Linda has sent 2 more of her photos for the blog, she says that the 1st one is from the White Horse, and the 2nd from the Buccaneer. Both taken in the late 70s. Let's see how many people can be recognised.

I think they are 78/79ish.

Sorry Linda, my mistake you did say late 70s in your email. I will amend it so as not to confuse people.

Second picture, is that not Ian Anderson on far left. First picture, guy in scarf is Gurd Wuhlert, Hans Sandermann's cousin, he is a big friend of linda's and is currently working in Dubai I believe

Linda said...

yes that is ally, do any of the scottish out there know where he is these days, last i heard he was in south africa.

That is gerd (german)he got the nickname frankie (frankenstein) and loved it, also did'nt mind being called a brussel sprout, he'd been working in the white horse but Ted did'nt know, this was his last night.
Think ally worked in there too at some point.

Jill, your right,Ian Anderson,Andys brother, his nickname was bacon because he eat so much of it.
Whats he up to nowadays.Last time I saw him was at a surprise party for me at Anne and Toms house in Greenock,Georges sister.
Had a few pints with Eric his wee brother in Tokyo Joes and the Rotunda,I think that as one of Russells old playgroungds in Greenock.
I remember Gerd well, had very stairy eyes, sure he believed he was Scottish in the end,Ally was a fun guy 2 but who wasnt,as we used to say "It's party night everynight"

Hi Dylan,
Thanks for sorting some of your photos out, looking forward to seeing them as I'm sure a few more people are!

Message for Stevie 1954.
Stevie if you want to see photos of Shuggy, just type in his name into where it says 'Search This Blog' in the left hand side column, all his photos will then come up if you click on the links. Seach for 'Shuggy' and also 'Shuggie' as I know I've spelt his name both ways.
Takes me all my time to spell my own name right these days!

Dylan, shame you cant declare yourself, your just going to be forgotten from an important time in the history of Lloret de Mar and this site is not about forgetting.
Your friend from 1988.

Dylan said...

Nice sentiments and you've got me with the 88 touch but its enough for me to just check this site out and contribute whenever i see one of the old guard.I'm just happy Jackie had the inspiration to set this site up.Its a guaranteed winner for nostalgia freaks like us.But thats as far as i think its gonna go cos i'm not really big on reunions.Everyone justs stands around thinkin everybody else got old while wishin they were 23 again. We're all pictured on here in our prime and i'd rather keep those images as they were.As for the subtle mention of 88 thats either the luckiest punt i've ever known or you're genuine and this is startin to turn into the Matrix.Either way, you're clever.Blue pill or the red pill old chum ?

I hope Wee Eddie Curran is still alive> I have never heard anything about him for years.

Last I heard he was managing a pub in Jersey about 1983. Anyone know if he is still on the planet??
