Here we have 3 more photos from Tony today, the first one again from the Captains Arms in 1968. Second from the right is Tony, other people in the photo are Stan, John, Tommy then Don far left. Tony can't remember the girls name, can any of you help him out?
Tony's second photo features Dave Charnley, who was a British Lightweight Champion boxer and his manager, with Tony in the centre of the photo. [Captains Arms, mid 60s] you can read more about Dave Charnley on Wikipedia.
The last photo shows an outside view of the Captains arms in 1970.

Hi Jackie, have you had any luck with Derek ?
Hi Dylan
No, sorry I dont see Derek much at all these days, only sometimes passing in the streets. Not forgotten though!
Thanks Jackie, sorry i had to put it on you.Thought there would have been a flood of replys on the matter.Even the guy,Ray,who mentioned it,gave no details and didn't seem 100% certain.Maybe Micky's still kickin around and still tryin to convince everyone he's Irish! x
Looking at the 3rd pic of the Captains Arms, did it end up being the Buccaneer as well?
John.
Looks like John if its taken from the crossroad with the Buccs double door entrance out of shot on the left. The wall is identical to the one which the Buccs bar ran against and the doorway shown in the same spot at the end of the bar as the Buccs delivery doors.Only thing is the road looks too wide as it was narrow and shaddowy but that could be the camera angle.Suppose the easy way would be to just find out the Buccs history but thats a good spot for a fella your age. That cocoa must be doin you good lad.
Was't the captains arms on the street behind the seven seas... down where the laundrette was...think the captains arms was sort of back to back with the laurel and hardy...am i right

YOU LOOK SO YOUNG .STAN AND TONY GOOD TIMES. MAXINE
It's amazing what you can find on the Internet. I was in Llorette in 69. We drove from the Uk in a van and stayed for 7 weeks. It brings back memories seeing this pic of the Captains bar.
It was when the Led Zep 11 album came out. I remember Malachi as a barman there, but that's about it. I seem to remember it was either the Captains or the Western saloon we went to. I was seventeen then, I'm 60 now! Blimey what happened? :)
Thanks for your comment.
Malachi is still here although he's now retired!
If you have any photos of your time in Lloret I'd love for you to send them for the blog...cheers in advance!
