Billy & Jan's Wedding

Thanks to Billy for sending these not so 'old' photos in for the Old Stuff.

Billy gave me the following details for the photos.....

It was actually my wedding party in Feb 2006. Hammy, Linda, Willie, wee Colin, Ricky, Tilsley, Russell (Honest) Black, Stevie, Geoff Marshall, George Stuart, Gas, Wee Micky, Hagar and many others were all there. As is a habit with me, ricky and Tilsley, we were the last 3 standing at the bar at the end of the night.

Lloret de Mar Old Views

I was recently given a tourist information book which contains some pictures of Lloret from the early days. The top one has 3 dates on the page..1868, 1909 and 1912 so I'm sure sure when its from...did they have photos in 1868?

 The other photo looking not all that much different than today is 1965.

By the way the tourist guide book  from which these photos  were taken is aimed at the Russian tourist's, it just shows who who is coming to Lloret these days. We were down on the beach in Fenals on Tuesday and the only languages we heard spoken around us were Russian or Eastern Block ....Not one brit or Spanish voice was heard!

Highlander Bar 1976

Lloret de Mar Old Stuff is 2 years old today. The 1st post was published 19th June 2008.
Who would have thought that it would still be going and growing as it still is?
For such a small place like Lloret de Mar it seems that once you've been you never forget it.

It just wouldn't have survived if you all hadn't spent your time looking through your old photos and sending them through to me to be published, and they still keep coming in!

How many more can there be ??
Just a couple of interesting facts you might like to know...
There are 378 post's including this one, I've no idea how many photos there are, but it must be at least double the number of post's.
The page has been viewed 271,766 times up to me writing this.  It has been viewed from 42 country's, some of which are - Turkey, Slovakia, Portugal, Argentina, Philippines and quite recently Japan!

So many thanks to you all for keeping the 'Old Stuff' going I couldn't have done it without you, it's not my blog it is YOURS!!
So please don't forget to keep sending any photos you may come across.

(I've also managed to get back to the old format, some of you didn't like the change, but the comments are still not been counted correctly....I cant do anything about . Hopefully it will right itself soon.)
